Optum Ltd launched new Australian search engine Ansearch.com.au on April 4, 2005. It allows search results to be refined based on age and gender. In addition to demographic searching, a series of new search features will be introduced throughout April.
As per reports of March 23, 2005, Ansearch may find itself in trouble due to some ill thought out domain name purchases. The company registered various trademarked, branded domain names using the .com.au extension. These included abcnews.com.au and microsoftoutlook.com.au.
